2004 D’Argenzio
Pinot Noir – Russian River Valley – Bacigalupi
Tasting Notes
A luxuriant Russian River Pinot Noir, in every sense. An opening medley of Bing cherry, cranberry and allspice greets the nose. Richly textured with superb weight, the wine fills the palate with black cherry, candied orange peel and a touch of vanilla. The lingering finish presents intriguing layers of black pepper, cloves, creamy mocha and stony earth. The climate of the
Russian River Valley is ideal for growing worldclass Pinot Noir grapes. The Bacigalupi Vineyard is situated along Westside Road, south of the town of Healdsburg, where foggy mornings provide a blanket of protection to the vineyards. Cool springs and moderate summer warmth allow for optimal development of Pinot Noir flavors.
